Hive inspection will be hands on Class. Each student will be able to conduct their own inspection of hive located at Beehive Barn Beeyard. Items we will cover in class:
- General appearance of Hive
- Pests (Sugar Shake)
- Reproduction
- Capacity
- Honey storage
- Bee Population
- Hive construction
- Each student will receive Handout ck list for inspecting hive, Sugar Shake jar and directions, and an uncapping fork.

If you do not have any the Beehive Barn will let you borrow veils and jackets they have. Please make sure to wear full length pants and appropriate footwear. Individuals wearing open toed shoes, sandles, or flip flops will not be allowed to attend class, and will be required to reschedule.
