Hive inspection will be hands on Class. Each student will be able to conduct their own inspection of hive located at Beehive Barn Beeyard. Items we will cover in class:
General appearance of Hive
Pests (Sugar Shake)
Reproduction
Capacity
Honey storage
Bee Population
Hive construction
Each student will receive Handout ck list for inspecting hive, Sugar Shake jar and directions, and an uncapping fork.
