Starter hive is how you start you hive. One brood chamber box is used so bees can build out all 10 frames before you place second brood chamber on top. Starter hive comes with bottom bd, entrance reducer, 1 deep brood chamber, 10 wooden frames, 10 wax foundation, inner cover, outer cover or lid. You can choose between different bottom bds, solid bottom bd or screen bottom bd. If you would like a feeder or not. Two different kinds of feeders are offered a frame feeder or a top hive feeder, what ever is you presence. A wooden stand is recommended. All beehive should be lifted off ground at-least 8". This is to prevent critters mouse, racoons etc.. from easy entrance.
